American made box feed pump action shotgun chambered for 2.75" 12 gauge shells. Mossberg apparently only made these for two years1955-1956. The design is different than most other pump action shotguns, the fore-end does not slide along under the barrel. It’s a piece of steel integrated into the stock with a black nylon fore-end that is the pump handle. It features a ported 28" blued barrel and receiver with a steel bead front sight behind the C-LECT-CHOKE, a dovetailed rear top serrated sight post, 3 round detachable magazine, tang safety (the red and green inserts are missing) and a serrated trigger inside a black plastic trigger guard with finger grooves. The smooth one piece wood stock has a rubber recoil pad and black spacer. Metal finish looks good with some surface rust on barrel and receiver. The wood stock looks fine with signs of handling and a small amount of white residue (?) that should come off with a little TLC. Bore looks good, dusty. LOP is 14". Action is sticky. Condition is NRA Good+ *C&R Firearm*
